Right now the changes to be backported are mostly just the documentation update (which is easily accessible in main and visible in the repo's web view), and the "branch" recipe in justfile (which isn't really useful in a release branch)
Backporting the repo changes might make it easier to backport patches for the rest of the release, since you're less likely to have to resolve merge conflicts. Other than making it easier to continue cherry-picking patches, there might not be a really good reason to backport this.
This probably shouldn't be merged right now, because of the final freeze, and might not be important enough to merge later, either. It is, however, here for review.
