In my opinion, we should keep the current version how it is, and add a new entry for 1.1.6, that says only "Bumping the release due to an error during the release" as changelog.
Or people would start wondering why we skipped 1.1.5

Yes, there should be new entry in release notes, instead of overriding existing one.
