#1 Fedora 39 - Failed to start firmware daemon
Closed by szydell. Opened by untie3539.

Firmware manager shows
"Managed firmware unavailable"

System76-firmware-daemon.service fails to start:
"system76-firmware-daemon: failed to get I/O permission: Operation not permitted (os error 1)"

Same when using system76-firmware-cli

Bad and good news.
Good is - I found a workaround - system76-firmware works when Secure Boot is disabled
Bad is - Secure Boot is generally a good idea to use, so the workaround is not so great.

The issue is on the code level. I cannot repair it during the repackaging process.
Maybe system76 will -> https://github.com/pop-os/system76-firmware/issues/127
