It would be nice if the reporter of an upstream issue were used as the reporter of JIRA issues filed. Perhaps this could be an optional configuration setting, because some users of the sync-to-jira tool may not want this functionality.

Similar to https://pagure.io/sync-to-jira/issue/7, we may need to maintain a mapping from upstream usernames to JIRA usernames, although the tool should be smart enough to try to derive the JIRA username from the JIRA system, or perhaps a configurable LDAP directory.

Hi! I'm working on some updates for sync2jira to incorporate a lot of the open issues. I understand how assignees work in Pagure, but I was wondering where reporters could be found? (i.e. where could you find it here: https://pagure.io/api/0/sync-to-jira/issues)

@sidpremkumar it's the "user" field associated with the issue.
