This small role can be useful in conjunction with other roles such as standard-test-docker and standard-test-rhts (provided by https://pagure.io/standard-test-roles/pull-request/4). It addresses the issue that not all tests are suitable to run in a docker container due to things such as SELinux, filesystem dependencies, systemd, services, etc. It allows an appropriate set of tests to automatically be selected for the current runtime environment.
