I was talking about rpmdev-newspec with my colleage (Pavel Raiskup) and he came with nice proposal. That it would be nice to have in template some comments. E.g.,

# see https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:Versioning
Version:
# see https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:LicensingGuidelines
License:

This can be either minimal or more verbose.

This way people will not need to look for right documentation. What do you think?

It's not a bad idea for Fedora templates. But it's important to note that rpmdevtools is used by a lot more than Fedora.

But I agree that having useful comments like that are very helpful.

Ideally, if there was upstream rpm.org documentation to point to, that'd be even better...
