During the creation of a CD set for a CentOS 5 install, the packages are arranged out of order and therefore many installation dependencies are missed. A sample of the many errors from install.log is below:
Installing info - 4.8-14.el5.i386 /sbin/install-info: error while loading shared libraries: '''libz.so.1''': cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Installing desktop-file-utils - 0.10-7.i386 update-desktop-database: error while loading shared libraries: libglib-2.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Installing gtk2 - 2.10.4-16.el5.i386 /usr/bin/update-gdk-pixbuf-loaders: line 20: sed: command not found /usr/bin/gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders-32: error while loading shared libraries: libgmodule-2.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory /usr/bin/update-gtk-immodules: line 20: sed: command not found /usr/bin/gtk-query-immodules-2.0-32: error while loading shared libraries: libatk-1.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory error: %post(gtk2-2.10.4-16.el5.i386) scriptlet failed, exit status 127
Many errors from packages needing zlib files (among others), but zlib is only installed much later. The packages below are on the second cd when many of the packages on the first cd seem to require these.
Installing glibc-common - 2.5-12.i386 Installing zlib - 1.2.3-3.i386 Installing glib2 - 2.12.3-2.fc6.i386
Even after putting the packages in a correct order in the kickstart file, revisor will just use the manifest and then reorder them. Perhaps a feature that lets one specify the package-order to override pkgorder from anaconda could be useful.

anyone?
What type of media are you composing? Is this during the compose of a Live CD, or is this during the installation of an Installation Image?
This is the installation of a two-disk CentOS5 install
the install.log file is post-installation
Depending on what Revisor version you use this may have been solved. Please include details such as the system's anaconda-runtime version, and the anaconda-runtime version ending up on the media. Same goes for yum, anaconda, pykickstart.
Packages on system. anaconda-runtime-11.2.0.66-1 pykickstart-1.1.1-1.fc7 anaconda-11.2.0.66-1 yum-3.2.1-1.fc7

does updating from the development repo get the fix?
revisor.conf is configured incorrectly when revisor is built from source. comps files are linked to the /usr/share/revisor/comps folder instead of the /etc/revisor folder, since the /etc/revisor folder is a symblink to revisor/conf
also when running from source now a "No Package Matching jfsutils. This is a required package." error stops the installation media compose (installation media > cd set > centos5-i386)

does updating from the development repo get the fix? As soon as 2.0.4.3-1rc3 hits the repositories, yes

This change was announced in http://lists.fedoraunity.org/pipermail/revisor-devel/2007-August/000161.html
Running from GIT really should be enough to join the development mailing list.

jfsutils is in the "suggested" package list which means if it's available it'll get included, but if it's not available Revisor shouldn't complain. Reading back the code it shouldn't complain.
sorry about not checking the mailing list.
revisor is still complaining about jfsutils and saying it is required during a CentOS5 install-media cd-creation. jfsutils is only listed in the fc comps files and not the centos ones.
conf/conf.d/fedora-7-install.cfg:jfsutils conf/conf.d/fedora-7-gold.cfg:jfsutils conf/comps-f7.xml: jfsutils conf/comps-f8.xml: jfsutils conf/comps-fc6.xml: jfsutils Binary file revisor/cfg.pyc matches revisor/cfg.py: 'jfsutils',
Just today I have successfully spinned CentOS without any complaint on jfsutils. Grab the latest RPM for Revisor from http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/packageinfo?packageID=4446
Do you have a Fedora 7 version of the package?
getting this error during pkgorder when i run the fc8 rpm "revisor-2.0.4.3-1rc3.fc8" on fedora 7 (during centos5 cd set creation)

This is not reproducable. Can you try with the attached patch applied?
headers/ directory in yum cache, patch headersdir.patch
Thanks for the patch. Running revisor from GIT, pkgorder did not error out and the CentOS 5 CDs were created successfully. During installation though, these messages came up:
Running anaconda, the CentOS system installer - please wait exec of anaconda failed: no such file or directory install exited abnormally[1/1]
This is the first time this has happened, as all the other times the install ran through but the packages were out of order.
another error:
:IOError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: :'/var/tmp/revisor-pungi/5/c5-i386/i386/os/isolinux/isolinux.cfg'
Hi,
I can't add in a kickstart file anymore when building from GIT.
Sorry about making all of these requests, but its a little bit urgent for me to be able to make some CentOS 5 install cd-sets. I know you guys are trying hard, and I appreciate all of the help. Now that pkgorder is fixed, if you could release a version of revisor that will use this fix and makes sure that anaconda is executable before a CentOS installation it would be great. Again, thanks for the help.
If there's anything I can provide you from my build/install processes to illuminate the problems let me know.
I have a fully functional CentOS 5 DVD iso and need to clone this installation into cd-set format.
Could this DVD function itself as the unified tree revisor is having problems building? Just a thought.
No Anaconda packages are in the CentOS folder on this DVD.
http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/packageinfo?packageID=4446 has recently built packages [[BR]][[BR]] I propose you use the online repositories for composing CentOS, as I don't know what the DVD holds. If you can reproduce the anaconda error then, let me know.[[BR]][[BR]] Not being able to write to /var/tmp/revisor-pungi/5/c5-i386/i386/os/isolinux/isolinux.cfg may have been caused by a failed buildinstall or createrepo before then. Please use the --debug flags and examine the logs for the commands used, then apply them by hand to see what error each of them returns (if any)

I just need to run this thing once and get some working CentOS 5 install CDs with the correct package order
