Would it be possible to create a feature where you can add data files to the desktop?

I've done this before on other live CDs, see http://questionsplease.org/freeme/. But it was a hack, and not Fedora!

Yes, this would be possible. In the end, user customization allows you to 'dump the current user profile', which hasn't been fully implemented yet, but creating a new user and dumping his profile on the disk should not at all be that difficult. These ideas could better be expressed at the mailing list maybe, so that we get feedback from other and well and not need to close tickets all the time. See also #34.
