I seem to remember that this module had no default stream because it included subpackages that conflicted with the non-modular packages. Has that been resolved?

Changes to default streams must have a FESCo ticket. Please open one.

Oh, you're right, I forgot about that interaction with the default setting. Sorry about this; closing the PR.
