Hello,
I would like to request to became Fedora Package Sponsor.
Thanks Douglas
I see three completed reviews (one on this list is a duplicate):
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/buglist.cgi?email1=dougsland&emailassigned_to1=1&emailtype1=substring& component=Package%20Review&query_format=advanced&list_id=1381927
and five packages owned or comaintained: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgdb/users/packages/dougsland?acls=owner&acls=approveacls&acls=commit
My personal opinion: the above doesn't really meet the criteria in https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_sponsor_a_new_contributor#Becoming_a_Fedora_Package_Collection_Sponsor
In particular, we ask for "five high quality, nontrivial package reviews"
I'd like to see more reviews done, given that sponsoring people is all about doing reviews. There also seems to be some confusion about the meaning of the fedora-review flag in bug 708115, but that was a long time ago so maybe it's been cleared up. (The only person who should be setting the fedora-review flag is the reviewer.) Of course, if my search missed some reviews, I'd be happy to take a look.
I agree with tibbs. Unless there's most work he didn't find it's a -1 from me.
-1 from me. I agree that he should do more reviews before applying.
Hi Douglas, I appreciate your intention to help others, but I think currently the best way to do this is to help out with package reviews. Once you have a proven track record of high quality reviews, feel free to apply again. For now I am -1, sorry.
Hi guys, thanks for the review. I thought I had more then 5 reviews.. I am going to review more packages and re-open this ticket. Thanks!
