#627 Requesting sponsorship for kanru
Closed: accepted by kanru. Opened by kanru.

I'd like to co-maintain the ibus-chewing package with @fujiwara and perhaps also the libchewing package with @cheeselee.

I've already checked with @fujiwara about co-maintaining the package.

We can help you, but are you willing so do some draft package reviews and possibly submit any package for review? This is normally expected before being sponsored to be a Fedora Packager

yes, I can do some draft package reviews. I'm still familiarizing myself with the tool and observing how others do package review.

I have some python packages (beancount, fava) in copr that is not packaged in Fedora yet, so I can probably submit them for review. Is there a package wish list similar to Debian's WNPP for Fedora?

Filed a fedora-review bug

Filed a copr-cli PR

Sounds good - go for it!

There is https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Package_maintainers_wishlist

Though I don't know how actively people make use of it.

Okay I am sponsoring Kanru, thank you for all the input and initial contributions!

I still recommend continuing with PRs - it is anyway best practice, and good way to receive early feedback on changes.

Thank you @petersen
