Hi I'm ex Red Hat and have been maintaining quite a few packages for myself on COPR for years. Now I see a few packages in the latest f38 repos that could use some packaging updates, and I might like to ask for COPR projects to be added some day.
Now I've been experimenting with the version of julius packaged in F38 but I see it's slightly stale and the build options used aren't compatible with the latest data they provide. I'd like to help maintaining some of these for once.
Anyone care to add me to packagers? Thx John Boero https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/boeroboy
@spot maintains julius. Perhaps contact him and see if he would like a co-maintainer? It might also be useful to submit some PR's there with your fixes so he can see what you propose?
I don't see llama-cpp in the collection, perhaps you could submit it as a new package? You may want to join the ai-ml sig. See https://discussion.fedoraproject.org/t/ai-ml-sig-revival/83510

Apologies I lost track of this thread. @spot I'm not sure if you use Julius much but while trying it recently I noticed the configs that come with packaging are fairly old and don't quite work with the version shipped anymore. Happy to help sort that out if you're interested.
Meanwhile I'm also trying to add Meta's new Whisper voice recognition ML to packaging. After some exploration I find Whisper a far better and more modern alternative to Julius.
