I would like to become a packager/maintainer of those packages. I maintain the source code on both github and sourceforge.
What is the process for doing this?
Joining the Package Maintainers
How to Get Sponsored into the Packager Group
Claiming Ownership of a Retired Package
You should mail the current maintainer(s) at tss2-maintainers@fedoraproject.org and ask if they would request you be added as a co-maintainer. (See the second link above about co-maintainership)

In fairness to @kgold there wasn't a maintainer when he opened this. Since the package is supported in RHEL we needed to avoid it getting removed from Fedora, so I took over maintaining the package to get it back into rawhide and f38. @kgold is the upstream maintainer of the tss2 project.
@kevin I've been looking through various pages, but I haven't yet found how a webpage that says how I would go about getting @kgold into the packagers group so he can be a co-maintainer since I myself am not in the packager sponsors group. Could you or someone else point me to documentation that says the steps to do that?
Thank you
https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Policy_for_encouraging_comaintainers_of_packages/
has the following text:
Who can be a co-maintainer? Anybody who has been sponsored to the packager group can be a co-maintainer. Package sponsor policy has special instructions for the case where somebody who has not been sponsored yet wants to become a co-maintainer.

But the https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Policy_for_encouraging_comaintainers_of_packages/#Package_sponsor_policy.adoc link seems to lead nowhere.
Okay, I think I found it here:

I will open another pagure ticket and request @kgold to be added to the packager group so he can be a co-maintainer.
