some information for sponsors to vote on your request:

• trix maintains 15 packages

• I only see one package review (still in progress). trix: have you reviewed packages under another email than in your fas account?

• has been a packager since 2020.

Just the one review, at that just started.

Note that you do not need to be a packager sponsor for this, you can request other people to be added as co-maintainers for your packages without being a sponsor.

Based on recent commits, it looks like your packaging activity has been focused on two packages (opae and xbyak). Considering this and the single package review, I have to say that I don’t think you’ve demonstrated the necessary volume and scope of experience to be a packager sponsor just yet. This isn’t a judgement on the quality of your work. I hope you’ll consider reapplying in the future.

Meanwhile, I can say that requests for comaintaner sponsorship tend to be taken care of very quickly on this tracker. Feel free to mention me directly if you do have a comaintainer request languishing here.

But I would rather have the responsibility and officially mentor new people to help in my packages.

When you request sponsorship of a co-maintainer, you agree to accept all the usual responsibilities of a sponsor. The only thing you don’t do is “hit the button” to add the user to the packager group.
