#538 Request to become a packager sponsor
Closed: accepted by kevin. Opened by gotmax23.

I would like to become a package sponsor.

Maintain at least three packages

I directly maintain or co-maintain 25 packages, according to the packager-dashboard. I also help maintain several more as a member of the go-sig. My packages consist of some python packages (mostly applications), some go packages, a C++ package, several ansible collections, and ansible-packaging, a set of macros and generators for packaging ansible collections. I am very familiar with RPM packaging, the Fedora Packaging Guidelines, and our macros. I have also contributed some (relatively small) changes to the go macros and the Python macros (in EPEL)

Have done five high quality, nontrivial package reviews

I have completed 24 reviews myself. I have also contributed to or started some other reviews.

Have been members of the packager group for at least one release cycle so that they have seen the process of branching for a new release.

I've been a packager for a release and a half.

@kevin/other repository maintainers: It might be helpful to add some tags to this repository so that it's clear which issues are about being sponsored into the packager group and which are about becoming a sponsor.

So I'm +1, cause @gotmax23 has been doing a tremendous job for the Go-sig.

+1, @gotmax23 has done good work on ansible collection packaging

+1 from me. @gotmax23 has been great working on the ansible packages!

It's been 7 days, and I see 12 +1s and 0 -1's, so this request is approved.

Use your powers wisely!
