We welcome your enthusiasm, but sponsorship basically comes at the end of the process, not the beginning. It's essentially just the granting of privileges to maintain packages within the distribution and the ability to approve packages submitted by others. Nothing else within the packaging process requires those privileges, so you are always welcome to join mailing lists and IRC channels, check out package code, file tickets, contribute patches, help out with package reviews, etc.

I don't have a lot of context here so please excuse me if I'm misunderstanding your situation, but basically the only reason a packager should request sponsorship here is if they have one or more packages which have completed review and yet have not found a sponsor. Is that the case? Could you post the URLs to the relevant bugzilla tickets?

Also, you have selected the "Comaintainership request" component, so perhaps that's what you're requesting. But these requests should come from the person who is adding you as a comaintainer on one or more of their packages. So if that was actually the intent, could you have that person comment here and indicate which packages you will be comaintaining?

It's also possible that the statement on the front page of this trac (https://fedorahosted.org/packager-sponsors/) is not sufficiently clear or if the documents linked there don't answer your questions. I of course welcome any suggestions for making it clearer.

You're welcome to ask on IRC in #fedora-devel, or in the packaging mailing list, if you have any specific questions about the process, or about Fedora packaging in general. That should always reach a number of packagers.
