#280 Apply to be co-maintainer for NetworkManager-l2tp
Closed: Fixed Opened by dkosovic.

I am the new upstream maintainer for !NetworkManager-l2tp :
* https://github.com/nm-l2tp/network-manager-l2tp
I want to be the co-maintainer of NetworkManager-l2tp for Fedora and EPEL.

IPsec support for NetworkManager-l2tp on Fedora has been broken for some time as can been attested by this long Bugzilla report from 2012 :
* https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=887674

My university workplace is using L2TP/IPsec VPN and we have Linux users that have been complaining about L2TP/IPsec being broken, so I had incentive to get it working and keep it working.

The owner of the !NetworkManager-l2tp package is happy for me to be a co-maintainer.

Generally these requests should come from the current owner of the package in question, as detailed in https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_get_sponsored_into_the_packager_group#Become_a_co-maintainer

Could we get an ACK from the current maintainer, just to be absolutely sure that we aren't handing a package over when we shouldn't be doing so.

I'm a current NetworkManager-l2tp package maintainer. In really I don't care about this package. I only built it for Fedora, that's it. So I agree and want that Douglas will be a co-maintainer for NetworkManager-l2tp package. From my side I will help and teach Douglas how to make a good quality package.

Looks like this fell through the cracks. I've sponsored you (dkosovic) and you should be able to request access to the package in question in pkgdb. Please let me know if you need anything else.
