Oof, this was forgotten? :frowning:

um. are you sure this is right? usually if this is wrong we see obvious problems.
Firefox is there in the favorites panel of current Rawhide Workstation lives - see https://openqa.fedoraproject.org/tests/2586658#step/_graphical_wait_login/8 for e.g. That's from today's Rawhide nightly. You can see Firefox on the left-hand end.
@adamwill Budgie seems to be the only thing that respects this (okay, maybe LXDE does but i honestly didn't download it). So even though I fixed it in budgie-desktop-branding (so the installed env will be correct) and that was a submitted 40 freeze exception, this wasn't ever updated so doesn't take in live. Tested Workstation and KDE and both have firefox, so both seem to override these elsewhere (which I'd argue is also ungood, but for other reasons).
It's possible LXDE's preferred apps is bork too.
@joshstrobl another way to confirm is whether the anaconda install icon was present in Workstation and KDE. That's actually what the override is for.
oh, wait, that link I gave is to a post-install test. But https://openqa.fedoraproject.org/tests/2586654#step/desktop_notifications/22 is from a live environment and Firefox is there. So is the installer. Those icons are Firefox, calendar, nautilus, installer, app grid. I definitely feel like there is somewhere else this gets poked because it has broken before, but I don't recall where it is.
