Any additional notes or logs:

hey all, need some help, i lost my ethx card on F14.. i think i screwed it up, the card shows up in lspci but i don't have any eth0,1,2..... etc... how can i have fedora reset all network configurations?
system-config-network
/etc/sysconfig/netowrk-scripts
bye
I am trying to get my usb keyboard and/or mouse to wake my Fedora 14 system from suspend
pollos: ya. kinda there, and been there, guess i am not sure what i am missing, my intel based mobo ethernet card has an ifcfg-eth0 file
right now, /proc/acpi/wakeup only shows PWRB as enabled
eckirchn_: does it show in 'ifconfig -a' ?
and when I run "acpitool -w", I just get the output of /proc/acpi/wakeup
can anyone tell me how to decipher the Device codes in /proc/acpi/wakeup?
nirik: thanks for helping, my wiki where i post my notes from here is on this machine, thus i can't pull it up.. its showing up as eth4.. now its coming back to me... i want to do something like ifconfig eth4 192.168.0.72?
eckirchn_: or just change it to eth0 in /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules
nirik: that was what i was looking for.. what creates that file? if i were to purge it, does some daemon recreate it?
udev makes it. You can remove all the eth lines and it will get rebuilt starting at eth0
nirik, isnt biosdevname in there?
sure. udev calls that.
nirik, n/m, he's on f14. my bad.
nirik: thanks that was my missing link
oh yeah, thats not called on f14
nirik fenrus02 can i say again - you'all rock
happy to help eckirchn_
