I'm a bit nervous about potentially returning an invalid e-mail address.

Well, it's the domain that we defined as "Used for users missing the email property.".
Although we probably should set it to '' by default, and disable this code if it's still set to that so that people can enable it only if they want to.

That works for me. It would be nice to document this side-effect somewhere.
