Found out we no longer segfault when no config file is around.

There is one debug message that is a bit irritating though, it says: "Config file not found! Proceeding with defaults." while in fact we call "exit(EXIT_FAILURE);" immediately afterwards. I suggest to just remove the "Proceeding with defaults." and close this ticket.
