Trying to get a system to function in Japanese in Rawhide seems beyond my capabilities.
"dnf langinstall ja" results in "No langpacks to install for: ja".
"dnf groupinstall japanese-support" installs a bunch of packages, but langpacks-ja and glibc-langpack-ja are not among them, and even having all the packages in this group installed results in an English system. Even though "localectl status" tells me the system locale is ja_JP.utf8, and there is no .i18n file in my home directory (which is the order per /etc/profile.d/lang.sh), the $LANG is en_US.utf8, and all applications use English.
I honestly have no idea anymore what I need to install to get a system with another language after the installation. Did the way of installing other languages change from https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/I18N/Language_Support_Using_Dnf, did dnf-langpacks break, or is something else going on?
(The same happens for nl(_NL) and the others that I tried, ja was just the one that I noticed missing.)
Sorry I did not see this ticket before and it came on Agenda today after one month !!
