#9890 Nightly Test failure in test_integration/test_installation.py::TestInstallWithoutNamed::test_replica0_install
Closed: duplicate by pthube. Opened by pthube.

Issue

In Fedora 43 FIPS-enabled test environments, the setup phase of:
test_integration/test_installation.py::TestInstallWithoutNamed::test_replica0_install

fails after running:
dnf remove -y bind

Specifically, the Python command:
python3 -c 'from ipaplatform.osinfo import OSInfo; print(OSInfo().platform)'

fails with:
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'ipaplatform'

Even though python3-ipaplatform is still installed. Investigation shows that python3-cryptography was removed as a side effect of removing bind, which ipaplatform depends on in FIPS mode.

Steps to Reproduce

Set up a Fedora 43 test host with FIPS mode enabled.

1.Install FreeIPA server/client packages.
2.Start the test:
pytest test_integration/test_installation.py::TestInstallWithoutNamed::test_replica0_install
3.During setup, dnf remove -y bind is executed.
4.Python import of ipaplatform.osinfo fails.

Actual behavior

Setup fails with:
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'ipaplatform'

Expected behavior

Expected dependency package for ipaplatform in FIPS must be reinstalled.
