#9780 [RFE] ipa-client-automount should have an option to include domain of the machine.
Closed: fixed by frenaud. Opened by rcritten.

Request for enhancement

If a client machine is in a domain other than the IPA domain then DNS discovery will fail. The only workaround is to provide the --server option. A --domain option would provide a hint to discovery so it is able to detect the IPA information.

Note that this isn't about hardcoding --server, it is more that having users specify a specific server has more friction than specifying the IPA domain.
