As , I want so that .

Issue

If i want to use a public ip address (/32 network), it doesnt work:

Enter the IP address to use, or press Enter to finish.
Please provide the IP address to be used for this host name:
Error: Invalid IP Address : No network interface matches the provided IP address and netmask
Please provide the IP address to be used for this host name:

But interface is configured right (its an vserver).

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Use this guide but use a public ip address /32 : https://computingforgeeks.com/how-to-install-and-configure-freeipa-server-on-ubuntu-18-04-ubuntu-16-04/

Actual behavior

Error occurs.
