Ticket was cloned from Red Hat Bugzilla (product Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7): Bug 1490785
Description of problem: IPA WebUI should display some warning message when ipa-server upgrade is in progress in the background so as to make it more robust for end-user. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): ipa-server-4.5.0-21.el7.x86_64 Steps to Reproduce: 1. Setup IPA server at RHEL 7.3z 2. Setup repo for latest RHEL version ( in my case RHEL 7.4-0day) 3. Initiate upgrade on the server "yum -y update 'ipa*' sssd 4. While the upgrade is in progress, access the UI Actual results: 1. After step4, the UI may or maynot be accessible depending on what packages are getting updated in the background. Expected results: There should be some warning message at the UI, for the user to suggest that there is an upgrade process running in background and he/she can try accessing after sometime. Additional info: Similar warning message can be setup for Replica server.
