Some customers want customisable "MOTD" for system login and IPA web UI, so they can e.g. display "you have been warned" message to their users.
Dogtag team has been implementing a similar thing in Dogtag for Common Criteria compliance.
Short term, this should be solvable via a FreeIPA Web UI plugin, like we do in FreeIPA demo. But long-term we may need proper support in base Web UI, so that admins do not have to code JavaScript.

FreeIPA 4.7 has been released, moving to FreeIPA 4.7.1 milestone
Hello,
is this still being worked on, or does the WONTFIX of https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1475338 mean this issue won't get addressed either?
The reason I ask is an issue about banner-on-login plugin for FreeIPA container https://github.com/freeipa/freeipa-container/issues/621 and I'd like to know if https://www.freeipa.org/page/V3/WebUI_plugins is the authoritative documentation.
Thanks,
Jan
The BZ was closed due to lack of resources. A community member might pick this up. It is otherwise not likely to be worked on until the new UI is completed.
