cannot repro issue on VERSION: 4.5.0
Added in sssd.conf
[domain/gsslab.pnq2.redhat.com]
;Hello
;????
# ipa-server-install
...
The old /etc/sssd/sssd.conf is backed up and will be restored during uninstall.
...
setup complete.
Clean copy of sssd.conf is created without comments.

When I uninstalled ipa-server
# ipa-server-install --uninstall
My original sssd.conf is created with comments in place.

I can't reproduce it either, closing.
