Hi,
neovim 0.12 has been released and in order to update neovim to the latest version, we need to update libtree-sitter to 0.26 on Fedora 44 and 43.
The packages which depend on libtree-sitter are: neovim, emacs and rizin.
For updating libtree-sitter we have a script to make sure we update all dependent packages: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/tree-sitter/blob/rawhide/f/chain-build.sh
As libtree-sitter isn't required by a lot of packages, it should be fine to update it. It is known to be working with emacs and neovim.
The only problem is rizin. The maintainer doesn't really seem to care about his package. The last successful build was for f43. It looks like it fails to build for newer Fedora releases.
It also has over 20 bugs for CVEs open:

Hold on - is there a specific reason why you need to update neovim to v0.12 and libtree-sitter to v0.26 on stable branches? If not, then this sounds like a case of "our Updates Policy says don't do it - so just don't do it". Even if rizin looks unmaintained, pushing this update now would not only make it unmaintained, but also not installable and / or create upgrade issues for users who already have it installed.

I took a look at the upstream neovim change list and it's definitely not aligned with our Stable Updates Policy. https://github.com/neovim/neovim/blob/v0.12.0/runtime/doc/news.txt has a laundry list of backwards-incompatible changes that I don't think you're going to be able to justify.
neovim
I'm definitely against including this for F43. I might have been okay with including it in F44 after Beta, but not after Final Freeze.
The breaking changes are quite small compared to other neovim releases. Also most plugins already have been adapted as you normally test against nvim nightly. The thing is that a lof people want to use the neovim 0.12 features like vim.pack, neovim new and own package manager.
I've updated to neovim 0.12 already and all plugins I use were working without any issue.
I'm fine only updating on f45 and f44.
About rizin I just noted that it looks unmaintained and is a blocker right now. I've started a non-responsive maintainer process for it. So it should be resolved first.
