#487 Silverblue: In initial setup, enabling 3rd-party repos and pressing "Next" freezes the Initial Setup app
Closed: Deferred to upstream by catanzaro. Opened by ananas-comosus.

In Fedora Silverblue 42, when you press the "Enable third-party repositories" and press on the "Next" button and the top right, Initial Setup freezes and crashes. This bug exists ever since the initial Silverblue 42 release.

Looks like the Silverblue issue tracker is on GitHub for some reason: https://github.com/fedora-silverblue/issue-tracker/issues

Feel free to report this over there. Anyway, what gnome-initial-setup does is run the commandfedora-third-party enable under pkexec (so, as root). It must be hanging. I bet it would be possible to test this from a normal desktop session without using gnome-initial-setup at all. If the command hangs, then that's the problem.
