btrbk allows performant backups using BTRFS functionality

An issue may be that it is written in Perl, which some variants dont want to include in the builds.

What's the use case of this over, say, Pika Backup or Déjà Dup?

I imagine btrbk would get quite a lot more visibility in a Fedora Magazine article, than adding it to the default installation. Installing the utility by default, doing nothing else with it, seems to just take up space.

Btrfs is the default filesystem (on all desktops and Cloud), but other file systems are supported. Btrbk is btrfs specific, takes advantage of btrfs snapshots, and incremental btrfs send/receive to replicate the snapshot to another local or remote Btrfs file system. It's super efficient and I'd love to see this Btrfs Project idea -> Integrated backup and restore integrated into Fedora Workstation and Server, to make cheap backups easy to setup out of the box. And in that case it makes sense to install it by default.

I don't think this alone is appropriate to preload in Workstation, much less any Fedora variant, without some kind of integration work (like a graphical frontend to easily use and manage it).

I accidentally clicked the downvote button on your comment (because it's next to the upvote button, which I had intended to click :) and Pagure does not allow retracting the emoji reaction. So I guess you get both upvote and downvote from me....
