#970 RFE: Improved visual and UX design for creating Fedora Accounts
Closed: Won't fix / Can't fix by codeblock. Opened by sgallagh.

Right now, the Fedora Account System dialog to set up a new Fedora account is very "Web 1.0" and intimidating for a new user. Given that we now have non-expert services connected with this account (such as Fedora Discourse) that we want to make more easily-accessible, I think we need to rework our account creation process to streamline this.

Note also: Fedora Workstation 31 will have new support in GNOME Online Accounts for setting up single-sign-on with Fedora Services. It would be ideal if we could manage to get a redesign of the account creation process out in the same time-frame.

This isn't quite the right place to file this ticket, but I'm not really sure where is right now.

We're experimenting with ideas for auth in the Fedora Infrastructure ecosystem in general right now, and this will be solved by whatever solution we eventually settle on.

So I'm going to close this for now - not because it's not a legitimate issue, but because it's something that will be fixed as a result of other ongoing work going forward.
