As written in ML here [1] I started maing a draft of the fudcon.fp.o pages. It's a first draft on which I want to continue, but I'd like to know if this is the right way. Otherwise I'm open for any suggestions:
* Modified the index page, only the EMEA FUDCOn will be present
* Index of EMEA: the image logo_scitta.png has to be created for Paris, also the fudcon_splash.png (it shows Milan)
* I don't know anytyhing about prices of transport (from airport, within the city...); ok, I could search on google, but if someone can help me this could be fine
* The agenda is empty
* I inserted only the Fudpub as event (section has to be completed)
* Registration page actually points on #pre-registration wiki page

I add the patch file, which include also 2 new images.

Few comments:

• "warning: 4 lines add whitespace errors." You still have some trailing whitespaces. You could see them under vim with "/\s+$".

• We could add at the bottom of the front page, a link to the upcoming FUDCon wiki page: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FUDCon#Upcoming_FUDCons

• From the above link, I can see that there is a LATAM FUDCon in Valencia on August. We could feature it. (Probably better to ask the content to the event owner).

• I can still see the FUDCon MILAN picture in /EMEA/location.html, probably best to reset to /images/logo.png

• /APAC/ and other still exists, shouldn't we define a default page linking to the past FUDCons page to set when the event is finished? http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FUDCon#Past_FUDCons

• I've modified the build script in infra to build fudcon.stg.fedoraproject.org to the newly created branch, "fudcon-update". That would be useful :) I've pushed this patch in this branch. I hope to catch you this week on irc to be able to give you the access. (the fudcon.stg subdomain is not already set up, I've asked nirik to look for it).

• Whitespace errors: this depends on my editor, guess I have to start learning vim too... :)

• Link to upcoming FUDCon wiki page: +1

• I didn't know about Valencia, I saw that Venezuela was organizing the FUDCon in June at Isla Margarita [1] [2]. Seems it has been changed to Valencia. Would be nice if tatica could help me for the content.

• Pics are examples. I will try to change them with the actual ones, but logo_scitta.png and fudcon_splash.png not. Need help for them.

• APAC and other events: Past FUDCons pages! +1. It's not nice to have dead links in the front page.
  In these days I'm not that active on websites, but I will soon work on it.

If you like I could make a static website for the LATAM area, like the one we had for [http://fudcon.fedoraproject.org/EMEA/index.html Fudcon Milan]. From there I'll link your symphony site and some other information links, such as registration, agenda, ecc...
Btw, do you have time to prepare a splash pic like [http://fudcon.fedoraproject.org/images/fudcon_splash.png this one]? Would be nice to insert it on the static LATAM site.

Hi,
as the FUDCon Valencia takes place in only a month I just added a patch for the LATAM area. It includes a colomn for the fudcon.index and creates a new LATAM section with the pics of Valencia.

There is only 1 detail missing! A fudcon_splash image like [http://fudcon.fedoraproject.org/images/fudcon_splash.png this one]. Who can help me? I'm not that skillful graphic artist... :)

I hope it's like you wanted it to be, tatica, all the links forward directly to the fudconlatam.org page.

Hi to all,
I modified the fudcon index page, inserting the two upcoming events for 2012, now on fudcon-updates branch.

The LATAM link redirects to fudconlatam.org, while the EMEA event redirects to the static pages on fudcon.fp.o. Personally I think it would be better to let some static pages on fudcon.fp.o, such as a brief description of location, agenda and registering. From there it's possible to redirect to specific event-pages, if existing (such as fudconlatam.org).

I am +1 to publish this revision 5e79798 and let work on more on staging.
I agree it would be better/more consistent to have a static page for all of them, but it's really late for the next LATAM FUDCon, so let's move on :)
