Hans de Goede (jwrdegoede) requested a iSCSI test day with emphasis on installation. I'd like to track some of the prep work required to make the event successful.
Prep work required: {{{ 1. Create a test day page (mganisin) * Document quick-start for scsi-target-utils (jlaska) * Outline what to test - rawhide or F11-Alpha (mganisin) * Document high-level test areas (jwrdegoede) 2. Document the proposed iSCSI changes for Fedora 11 (jwrdegoede) 3. Provide updates.img to test against F11-Alpha? (jwrdegoede) 4. Announce Test Day to mailing lists * fedora-test-list (jlaska) * anaconda-devel-list (jwrdegoede) 5. Solicit Partner support (ddumas) }}}
Adding Mike Christie for additional input of focus areas
After discussing with mganisin, does Thursday 2009-01-12 work as a test day for iSCSI?
Okay, we have a go for Thursday 2009-01-12.
I will send out an announcement, and begin working on a scsi-target-utils quickstart guide.
jwrdegoede - can you draft a page that describes the high-level changes. QA can use this information to help guide testing
mganisin - Marian has created the [https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA/Test_Days/2009-02-12 test day wiki page] and has begun documenting test cases.
OPEN ITEM: We need to determine '''what''' to test. If it's rawhide or Alpha. For rawhide, having bug#480822 will help tremendously for KVM installs.
This event was held on 2009-02-12. See http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA/Test%20Days/2009-02-12. Closing out this ticket.
