#852 6.18 kernel test week 14th Dec - 20th Dec
Closed: Fixed by psklenar. Opened by jforbes.

Owner: Justin Forbes
Time Frame: 14th Dec - 20th Dec
Features: Kernel 6.18 rebase
Target Release: F43 and F42

As discussed at Flock, we will start hosting test days for each major kernel rebase (approximately every 8-10 weeks). It was discussed that we should extend this to a test week, to allow time for more participants. They have been incredibly helpful so far. As the 6.18 kernel is released, I would like to get a test week in before we push the rebase to stable releases. I will have ISOs for USB images so that users can test on bare metal or in VMs, and the kernel will be available in the stabilization repo for users who wish to install it on existing systems.

Sorry for the late filing on this one, I am actually travelling and on PTO, but we can't really delay the test week as that puts it into the Holidays.

Hi,

I created:
1, https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Day:2025-12-14_Kernel_6.18_Test_Week
(c&p) from previous with some changes. What I don't know than added 'XXXX'.

2, https://testdays.fedoraproject.org/testday/10

3, https://calendar.fedoraproject.org/QA/2025/12/15/

@jforbes
please look at wiki => there is need of change in the wiki for all text with "XXXX"

3, https://calendar.fedoraproject.org/QA/2025/12/15/

I fixed the event name to make it show up in
https://calendar.fedoraproject.org/list/QA/?subject=Test+Day

It seems this went well.
@psklenar Please export the results to the wiki and close this ticket, thanks!
