Let's have Atomic Desktops test days:
Metadata Update from @kparal: - Issue set to the milestone: Fedora 43 - Issue tagged with: test days
Note: See #791, @siosm offers some help
According to our Matrix discussion, @hricky will try to create the required test cases and the test day wiki page. Tell us if you need help, Hristo.
We can do it as a week-long event, we have plenty of time in our schedule. Just tell us when you'd like to have it start.
I noticed that "CoreOS Test Cases" has its own category. Do you think creating a category for "Atomic Desktop Test Cases" would be appropriate?
Sure. If you think those test cases would be of general use some time in the future as well, and are not specific to just this test days event, then you can definitely create "Atomic Desktop Test Cases" category and use it. You can even add both that one and https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Category:Test_Days_Test_Cases , so it's visible in both, it makes sense to me.
I have a question about the Test Day management workflow.
I have opened issues to track progress and create test cases for Atomic Desktops Test Week: Tracker: Fedora Atomic Desktops Test Week Fedora Atomic Desktops Test Week TODO List
We have generally agreed on which test cases we need and I will start writing drafts in my Wiki namespace. Once we make sure they contain the correct instructions, I will create new test cases in the appropriate categories. Then I will create the Wiki page for the test week and finally we will choose the date.
This workflow is in reverse order to what is described in the SOP Test Day management document, but first I want to make sure that the test cases are properly written and approved by the maintainers.
Is this acceptable or should we strictly follow the sequence described in the SOP Test Day management?
Sure, it sounds good. The SOP is not meant to be strictly linear. It doesn't really matter if wiki page exists before test cases or vice versa. You don't even need a date before creating the wiki, because the page can be moved including a redirect. So however you want to handle this, it's fine. Also please understand that all our documentation is permanently outdated, so just use common sense :-) I've tried to do some light updates to the SOP recently, but I don't currently have time to do a complete rewrite.

@hricky F43 is released by this point. Do you want to continue planning this for F43, move it to the F44 cycle, or abandon it?
@kparal unfortunately, I was not able to write enough test cases for F43, so please move it to the F44 cycle. I will continue to add more drafts.
