#218 Fedora 41 eol
Closed by dreua. Opened by dreua.

According to this repo, the Fedora 41 eol would be today: https://fedorapeople.org/groups/schedule/f-41/f-41-key-tasks.html

Bodhi on the other hand lists the 26th as eol date: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/new

Which is correct? When and where is the final and authoritative eol date published for each release?

Releases are supported until 4 weeks after the release of N+2 (see https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/releases/lifecycle/#_maintenance_schedule) so Bodhi is correct.

Because of how the schedule tooling works, the F41 schedule has to be updated separately from the F43 schedule. The usual schedule wrangler went on parental leave right after the F43 release, so it probably got missed in the shuffle.

Thanks for the quick response! I know the 4 weeks after N+2 rule but it would still be nice to have a concrete date published because the rule leaves some interpretation wiggle room. (About two days I'd say. The 26th actually is release date + 4 weeks + 1 day.)

I've just updated endoflife.date, repology, the table and timeline in the English Wikipedia and the timeline in the German Wikipedia who all showed 41 as eol since yesterday ;)

Finally here is a PR for adding the 41 eol to our docs: https://pagure.io/fedora-pgm/pgm_docs/pull-request/95

Unfortunately it seems we still didn't manage to do this right. :D I've posted https://discussion.fedoraproject.org/t/fedora-41-eol-whoops/175073 to discuss next steps.

I thought that someone from PGM would have updated it, but it still seems to be there.
I opened a PR: https://pagure.io/fedora-pgm/schedule/pull-request/221

Someone said that the changes are done, we just need to redeploy it? I didn't see it, so I opened up a PR

I think this is all resolved
