I have just tested this on a recent rawhide iso live system.
When connecting to a password-protected WiFi AP, after submitting your password via the Networks applet, a "KDE Wallet Service" popup appears, saying "The application 'kded5' has requested to create a new wallet named 'kdewallet'... etc". And then creating a new wallet with either gpg or blowfish results in you needing to enter your WiFi AP password again, which is very annoying.
I'm reporting this here because I think that we could improve this UX on the live system, it looks like an integration/packaging issue to me.
This is an upstream issue. We integrate/use pam-kwallet, which is supposed to create/open wallets on login automatically.
Possible this is a dup of bugs: (downstream) https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1955860 (upstream) https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=436442
Hmm, I didn't notice that on any of the machines I upgraded from f33 to f34, only on the live system... I'll subscribe to those bugs anyway though
The live system should behave the same as a non-live one in general (with few exceptions)
closing for now, while we follow the aforementioned bugs.
