Here's a list of TODOs:

  • Lokalize now requires KDDockWidgets. Our KDDockWidgets is 2 years out of date, we might have to update form 1.7.0 to 2.2.5 (new major version, probably ABI breaks?).

  • Kamoso was ported to Qt6, it requires GStreamer 1.26.3 or a backported patch. F42+ already have 1.26.3, while F41 does not. We will have to patch GStreamer in F41, and compile Kamoso with -DPATCHED_GSTREAMER=ON: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/gstreamer/gstreamer/-/merge_requests/9085

  • kosmindoormap recommends new package recastnavigation: https://pagure.io/fedora-kde/SIG/issue/646

recastnavigation is not a requirement, just a recommendation btw. That's why I created a ticket, to fix that after the fact.

Side notes:
kf6-kfilemetadata requires a rebuild (Depends on kdegraphics-mobipocket)
ktextaddons-qt5 will need to be built in the same sidetag as the gear update (So that qt5 items still needing ktextaddons can be built/installed)

kjournald is fine, a cmake switch fixes it.

Gear 25.08.0 is built on rawhide, I'm gonna start building it on f42/41 (I'll be leaving it in the sidetag until release ofc)

25.08.0 is built on F42. Not going to F41. Will be released when KDE releases it.

Do you know how to handle the kbreakout->kbrickbuster renaming? That still needs to be done for 25.08.0 but I don't have early access to the tarballs.

I just checked, as far as the Gear sources are concerned, kbreakout is still kbreakout.
