#544 Kinoite 40 ISO not bootable
Closed: Deferred to upstream by siosm. Opened by boredsquirrel.

(Broke my system testing composefs, cant recover, need to reinstall)

I think I had this issue before, maybe I just installed F39 back then and rebased. But I read that the state is still different depending on installed version, so want to avoid that.

I downloaded the Kinoite 40 ISO from the website download button, tried flashing with EtchDroid, KDE IsoImageWriter (Flathub) and Fedors media writer (Flathub). Always the same issue.

I get the attached error message after it stays at "starting Basic.target" for a while.

boot has failed. Possible reasons are missing inst.stage2 or inst.repo boot parameters on the kernel cmdline. Please verify that you have specified inst.stage2 or inst.repo.
Please also note that the "inst." prefix is now mandatory

KDE IsoImageWriter also didnt set the "bios-grub" parameter which may be an issue, may be not. The USB stick was not shown using secureboot, I had to turn it off.

Trying to boot Anaconda for Kinoite F39 gives me the error "waiting for multipath nvme".

Please open a bugzilla for the F40 issue like you did for the F39 one.
