There is a discussion about pip being harmful if there are RPMs for the same package, right? But this only applies to regular Fedora, as on OSTree its just another useful package manager for userspace programs.
I think there is no reason not to include pip by default. It is simple, works without sudo permissions, and extends the available software very well.
This is not going to happen. Users should use toolbox for this stuff.

okay pip works without problems in toolbox I guess.
It would be great for usability though to somehow setup such a toolbox more easily and export the pip command to the normal user, so that they can access it directly.
You could also just use toolbox enter -- pip and maybe alias that to bash
toolbox enter -- pip
That's up to each user to setup. I don't use pip for example. On Kinoite, you're supposed to setup your development environment inside a toolbox and do things from there.
