I've seen that it's possible to customize the splash screen when Plasma starts up with custom branding. For example, openSUSE does have a nicely customized login splash:

For comparison, this is what we have now:

It'd be great if we can do the same to make our experience stand out more. I'd like to have decent co-branding with KDE Plasma, to signify the experience is a Plasma Desktop experience.

The glow is nice, but the water reflection seems out of place

Moving to Fedora Linux 35... @duffy, do you have any idea if this is on the chart for F35 branding?

I don't know what to do on this one. Would you like a Fedora branded screen or one with Kinoite?

Both ideally, but at least a Fedora branded one.

@ngompa there's a suite of Fedora logos in various colors / sizes etc that could already be used for a Fedora branded one?

Hmm, let me look into how we configure the splash and see if there's anything special that needs to be done here to swap out the Plasma logo for Fedora's logo...

(This was more of a problem prior to the new logo being made, but I may be able to reuse existing stuff now...)

Sure. Happy to provide a specific Fedora logo for this if nothing in the fedora-logos packages suits! And I think the one I posted on https://pagure.io/fedora-kde/SIG/issue/24#comment-780339 would work well for Kinoite here.
