This issue is a bit old but it still happens in Fedora 35 KDE. Every time a operation is cancelled with Control+C, there is a delay of 1-2 seconds for the cancellation to finish. I installed GNOME Terminal in Fedora KDE and the issue doesn't occur.

Konsole in KDE Neon and in Kubuntu doesn't have this issue.

I can not reproduce that on Kinoite & classic KDE 35.
