Describe what you would like us to do:

I want to test automatic PR creation using the-new-hotness and packit on staging and for this I need to be part of packager group. Could you add me to packager group on staging?

I would be +1 to just add @zlopez to the packager group in prod also, that way when we sync the from prod to stg he does not looses his membership.

Joining the packager group in prod has a few options https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Join_the_package_collection_maintainers an infra ticket is not one of them though :)

I've sponsored @zlopez to the packager group in staging though.

This could be a bit tricky, because I don't have own any package in Fedora. I sometimes only need some package for testing.

We could add you to the infra-sig (https://src.fedoraproject.org/group/infra-sig) which has many packages to maintain :smile: so all the help is welcomed here.

But I am not sure what is the correct process to join this group.

Like all the -sig groups, being a packager is a pre-requisite :)
