It seems there is a github rate limiting which complicates usage of Anitya with github projects. E.g. the openfec project, click the Test check: https://release-monitoring.org/project/290988/edit
Test check
And you will very probably get:
Unable to retrieve the latest version from upstream! ERROR: "Error when checking for new version: Rate limit was reached. Will be reset in \"2026-01-20T16:47:44+00:00\"."
I guess it's causing that I am not sometimes receiving updates on new versions available. Could be there managed some exception or agreed with the Github to relax the rate limiting for Anitya? IMHO Fedora is Red Hat sponsored and Microsoft is Red Hat partner, so there should be a way.
See the upstream ticket: https://github.com/fedora-infra/anitya/issues/1846
