Hi, we need to update our fedora mirror information. We successfully update only "Fedora Linux" category. We want to add also "Fedora EPEL" but when we try to set our fqdn "http://fedora.mirror.garr.it/epel/" this error is raised:
"Could not add Category URL to the host"
What are we doing wrong or what is wrong with the system? :)
Host: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mirrormanager/host/2645
Thank you

What are we doing wrong?
You are trying to add the mirror a third time to the system.
We currently have:
Each URL can exist only once in the database and the other entries are already using the URL.
So, you should not create new entries, you should have use the existing entries in MirrorManager.
It can be the third time but I only know garrmirror (as an account).
Also, I was trying to add it one more time because we are not listed here https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mirrormanager/mirrors and information stored were wrong.
If GARR mirror (2018) and GARRMIRROR (2007) are separate accounts, you can delete it.
I am not talking about account names. There are multiple people at your side adding garr mirrors to our system with different names.
Also, I was trying to add it one more time because we are not listed here
Because they were out of date
https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mirrormanager/mirrors and information stored were wrong.
No
MirrorManager sites have been deleted. Accounts are not relevant in this context.
I'll try to be more precise.
Right now at Consortium GARR I'm the only one that is managing the mirror infrastructure.
I've only access to one account, named: garrmirror In this account there is only one site listed: garrmirror This site has two hosts: fedora.mirror.garr.it and the newly added centos.mirror.garr.it (https://pagure.io/centos-infra/issue/1155)
For fedora we are mirroring: Linux and EPEL. In fedora.mirror.garr.it host we only managed to add Fedora Linux category.
As we mirror both Linux and EPEL we want to add also EPEL and we also please want to be listed in your mirror list.
Hope that clarifies our issue here.
Try it now. I deleted the other entries.
Thank you. Now entries were added successfully.
Listing will be auto updated? (https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mirrormanager/mirrors)
That page is updated maybe every 48 hours. It is not really important for the actual mirror selection and not used by dnf or yum.
The mirror will be scanned in the next 12 hours and then about one hour later you should see clients being redirected to your mirror (if you mirror is up to date).
I see you are not listing rsync as a possible URL. Please also provide rsync URLs, if possible, as scanning the mirror via rsync is much more effective than using HTTP.
Thank you. I'll keep you posted in next 48 hours.
Hey, lets go ahead and close this then... and if you run into any further issues, please re-open it and we will take a further look.
Thanks!
