#27 Look at fedora-update-feedback
Closed by lruzicka. Opened by kparal.

There's an alternative CLI app available:
https://github.com/ironthree/fedora-update-feedback

Let's look at it, whether it makes sense to further develop fedora-easy-karma, or whether to forward our current users there, if it is just better.

Unfortunately it's written in Rust, so a possible collaboration in development is unlikely :-(

In any case, if it works decently, we can at least link to it from somewhere, so that users can choose an alternative app, if it suits them.

The authentication part works even better than with fedora-easy-karma. Otherwise, I do not see much of a difference, so that application will probably not cause a breakthrough in karma sending either.

BTW, I am close to "sunsetting" fedora-update-feedback. The deprecated OpenID based authentication endpoint of bodhi accidentally broke with bodhi-server v8.0.0 and I don't have time to reimplement the authentication flow for Kerberos or OpenID Connect any time soon.

Ah, that's unfortunate, thanks for letting us know.

I guess, we will continue with Fedora Easy Karma then. Thanks for the info.
