I went through the project page and these are my initial thoughts :

1) There is no such distinction between different sections.
2) the UI looks dated and the color combination is not that exciting.
3) the search bar which is a integral element of any documentation page is cornered and It lacks any definition.
4) no dark mode.

My solutions :

1) I gave the UI a redefined modern look , I used cards with vibrant color scheme.
2) centered the search bar and gave it definition , added a popular category that would contain the most visited cards.
3) added dark mode.
4) what more we can do is give specific set of icons to specific set of cards or a different color schemes to different section to make the sections look more distinctive.

please give me feedback as to what else I can improve on.. thanks..

I like the general design, but

  1. The popular category seems like it just creates duplication
  2. Searches are client-side so we don't have any way to know what people are searching for
