This is a small prototype for that I have imagined for the Fedora Docs website. It is to show simple interactions and how the user will receive feedback and how the the user will navigate through the website. The most important advantage of a prototype is that it simulates the real and future product. You can test the design's correctness before it comes into production and you can discover design errors. I have already spotted some and changed the design accordingly.

Please note :- It is a scrollable prototype. By clicking outside the prototype, you will see blue hotspots, that is for now to show which components have been made interactive. These blue hotspots will not reflect in the original website

Do give me your feedback!

I like the style. I worry that the most useful information is hidden when the page loads. I think I'd like to see that "above the fold" content take up a little less room.

Also, what do you envision being the difference between the "User Documentation" and the content in the full-width box below it? This seems confusing because to my mind, they're the same.

@bcotton Would you prefer something like this :- https://miro.com/app/board/o9J_lkoizq8=/?moveToWidget=3458764523465533493&cot=14. This way the user opens up to this page of fedora docs and then can navigate further. This will also reduce the number of steps of navigation (which is a good thing for the user). Though It might require a bit more cleaning up more, so I am on it. It might take a bit of user testing also, which I am trying to conduct.

For the second point :-
Are you talking about the footer? which talks about getting involved as a way of contributing to projects?. If yes, I have tried to declutter everything on the website. And tried to put it into different categories. I will post the information architecture (which is a work in progress, as I am trying to understand the categories and the divisions present.), but I am trying to make sure that the navigation is very simple and not to introduce too many components and include too many steps for them to find what they need. I do not want to throw off the users.

If you are talking about the box that opens up after clicking on user documentation, that is the same thing as user documentation, it has been done for categorization and structuring i.e., increasing a step for the users , if it helps in the flow of information.

It's hard to say, as the first version was scrollable and this isn't. I don't know what's on the first screen and what isn't. I did like having the user and contributor docs side-by-side, which this version seems to drop.

Ah, okay! That was not clear to me. I guess I didn't click on the two boxes and assumed that was a static part of the layout. I get it now.

@bcotton This will be scrollable too. I just wanted to give you an overview. All the interaction would be the same. But the user would not have to click on the user documentation to view the menu, it would be visible from the beginning . However, you are right the user and the contributor would not be side by side, but it will display the information without the page loading. I can definitely come up with

Oh I am sorry , I didn't activate certain settings that would show the prototype from the beginning. Please try this link and it would be much clearer to you . If you click outside the screen you would see blue flashes, that means those are the spots where you can click and interact.
