I am going to package this for Fedora (and again try to put your thesis to production). I will need to specify a license for this. Can you specify it somewhere, please? If possible by putting the LICENSE file in the repository.

Do you have any preference on the license? I don't want to cause any license compatibility issues.

I commonly use GPLv2. But any OSI approved license will work.
